Education for Sustainable Development
Happy Orbis’s educational approach is informed by UNESCO’s Education for Sustainable Development principles and the ESD for 2030 framework and roadmap. This approach connects environmental, social and economic considerations, supporting lifelong learning and the ability to make informed, responsible decisions.
Our educational concept brings together online talks, accessible explanations of scientific knowledge, environmental data and community exchanges. The aim is to help people understand environmental issues, assess possible solutions and apply what they learn to everyday life.
We approach oceans as a starting point for understanding a connected planet. Our broader educational focus includes water, climate, biodiversity, resource use and the relationship between human activity and the environment.
We develop this approach with local circumstances in mind, recognising that priorities and practical possibilities differ between communities and countries. Digital learning is central to our concept of sharing knowledge internationally while reducing the need to travel for educational exchanges.
